On Tuesday 3/5, the Streetsboro girls basketball team defeated St. Vincent St. Mary, 45-42, to stay alive in the playoffs. They now are in the Elite 8 and will play Laurel on Friday, 3/8, at 7pm at Barberton High School.
The girls are now 23-4 on the season, with one of their loses coming at the hands of St. Vincent St. Mary earlier in the season, there they lost by 17 points.
Although the Rockets kept it close through the game, one of their only leads came mid way through the 4th quarter. From there, the Rockets held on and got the win.
