Streetsboro Discussing New City Logo

The Parks and Recreation Department, at the direction of city officials, has undertaken a new city logo project over the past couple of months. Rick Shaffer, with Rick Shaffer Branding, is the designer the department has chosen to work with.

Multiple meetings have taken place to come up with the new logo. The picture below is what the current design is, but a few minor tweaks are expected before final acceptance by city council.

Some have asked, will this replace the current seal used by the city? The answer is, no. The seal will still be the seal of the city. This logo will be used as a modern branding tool. The current plan is for the new logo to be rolled out in 2024.

The details of the design are below

This Streetsboro logo design represents the four main roadways and expressways that crossover our beautiful community. The roadways are State Route 43, Route 14 (Interstate 480), Interstate 80 (Turnpike) and State Route 303. These four roadways make up the compass design that can also symbolize the sun rising and setting on our great city of Streetsboro. The dark blue winding road continues the idea and concept that all roads lead to Streetsboro, Ohio. The colors match and tie in well with the Streetsboro Rocket colors, coupled with a custom stylized script typography this logo has been created to uniquely represent the City of Streetsboro.
